Help Push for a Permanent Moratorium — Save Job Opportunities for Unemployed Americans Only

Over 35 Million Americans are now unemployed, including 135,000 Healthcare Workers. But Speaker Pelosi’s so called “Heroes” Act just barely passed by the House would allow the Admission of 150,000 Foreign Healthcare Workers to take American healthcare jobs.

But While the Heroes Act would also provide funding for unemployed legal immigrants workers, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom just authorized payment of $125Million to Illegal Alien Workers -- $75 Million from California Taxpayers and $50 Million from Corporate Donors (who just love that Cheap, i.e., U. S. Taxpayer-subsidized, Labor). 

But CCN and its ASAP! Coalition Allies’ Leadership in pushing for a Moratorium is started to bear fruit at the National level. Four Senators and three Representatives are pushing to Make President Trump’s Moratorium permanent.

“Last month, President Trump authorized a temporary suspension of almost all immigration into the United States. With the exception of agricultural temporary workers, no other foreign workers are allowed into the country.

“This was common sense. It makes ZERO sense to continue importing foreign workers into the America when we have this many people who have lost their jobs.

“But President Trump's order is only temporary. He had to use an executive order to do it, and it is already being challenged in courts.

“That is why Conservatives in Congress are standing up to make it more permanent. Senators Cruz (R-TX), Cotton (R-AR), Grassley (R-IA), and Hawley (R-MO) are working together with Representatives Gaetz (R-FL), Gosar (R-AZ), and Gooden (R-TX) to make Trump's immigration suspension more permanent.

“Of course, the Democrats want to stop them. They are still trying to use this crisis as an excuse to bring as many people into our country as possible!...

“Think about that for a second. 1 in 5 Americans have lost their jobs, by no fault of their own. 

“And the Democrats' solution to this is to import more foreign workers into the country to take American jobs…

“If their goal is to protect American lives and livelihoods, it makes absolutely no sense. But that never has been the Democrats' goal… They have never cared about putting Americans first.

“President Trump's order gave an exception for agricultural visas. He knew that if he cut off those workers, food would stop making it to market and Americans would starve. The Great Threat is that when we just get over the “Hump” of CoVID-19 Spread in the USA, we expect the Open Borders lobby to redouble efforts to pass all the Open Borders Bills which CCN took the lead on stopping in November and December 2019 (Important to see CCN’s Alerts for specifics of these Bills). 

Indeed, it is likely the influence of the Open Borders lobby which caused President Trump to limit his Moratorium Order to 60 days and to not include temporary Work Visas. 

Indeed, Current Holders of H1b Visas and their Spouses holding H-4 visas are still allowed to work! The foregoing illustrates why it is even more important for we reductionists to redouble our efforts to push an all-categories-included Zero-NET Moratorium on Legal Immigration NOW. 

Pushing merely for incremental reductions (e.g., full implementation of e-Verify but only that) while well-intended is utterly futile, because, alone it fails to delegitimize and counter the whole enterprise of Mass Legal and Illegal Immigration. 

Only pushing for an all-categories-included Zero-NET Moratorium does that! In sum, only CCN and its ASAP! Coalition Allies have The Strategy for Success. Important to remember that CCN is a Genuine Mass Immigration REDUCTION Group, so Donations to CCN have far more impact dollar for dollar than Donations to Mass Immigration MANAGEMENT Groups who refuse to support a Zero-Net Moratorium on Legal.

The other group says it is for “lower immigration levels” but that too is entirely Counterproductive because it sends the Message that Mass Immigration is OK but just at lower levels. And thus it claimed a Victory in keeping Open Borders Provisions our of the recently enacted Stimulus Bill, while in fact,  that Bill actually authorized $350 Million for “Migration & Refugee Assistance”!! 

As we have been saying for over ten years, the Only Position which generates enough Political Power to get reductions in Legal and Illegal immigration is to advocate a, All-Categories-Included Zero-Net Moratorium. Consider: ​

1. Stopping Illegal Immigration requires greatly Reducing Legal Immigration Indeed, the large numbers of “Slots” Available to Legal Immigrants (e.g., the de facto Unlimited Asylee Category) creates a Magnet effect for Illegal Aliens. Indeed, the Uncapped Asylee category encourages Trafficking of Children, because it allows any adult bringing a child into the U.S. to become a de facto permanent resident and potential Citizen! 

2. Regarding Costs, consider this summary of CCN’s NET COSTS Study: U.S. Taxpayers Costs from legal immigration alone - $330 BILLION PER YEAR NET (i.e., after subtracting Taxes Immigrants pay), i.e.: 
i. $3.3 TRILLION NET prospectively for the next Decade if Legal immigration is not reduced.

The US Census reports that  400,000 legal immigrants per year settle in California alone.

ii. “For Every Person added to U.S. (or California’s) Population, one Acre of precious Farmland or Natural Habitat is lost to Developed Uses (e.g., Malls, Urban Sprawl, Tract Housing) (Pimentel et al, Cornell)

California: Potable water demands from growing cities and from ground water depletion far in excess of recharge rates) have led to a long-term Potable Water Crisis resulting in some jurisdictions (e.g., all of Orange County, California) being forced to drink “Toilet to Tap Water” in recent years. One year of heavy rains has not solved this problem

iv. Our Zero-Net Moratorium push sends the Critical message that we must Stop MASS Legal Immigration in order to protect our environment. 

As well, Legal and Illegal Immigration is a Major cause of Increased Homelessness and Crowding (and higher Taxes everywhere in the USA) especially in those Areas which receive large numbers of Immigrants — New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles.

Consider California, which receives about 400,000 Legal Immigrants per Year. California has many attractions, generous Taxpayer-funded benefits among them.

For example, in addition to the aforementioned Costs, there are other very substantial Impacts. Those 400,000 Legal Immigrants plus the hundreds of thousands of Illegal Immigrants create a great and increasing demand for Housing. And since many of the Legal Immigrants especially are well-heeled and heavily subsidized by US taxpayers, they have the Financial ability to “crowd out” the most impoverished Americans — many of whom end up living in the streets, or, if they are “lucky” in tent cities and Trailers.  This Demographic Impact is merely the beginning.

The crowding of taxpayers-funded schools, roads, hospitals, emergency rooms and public Transportation Systems is largely a result of MASS immigration, both legal and illegal.

4. Eliminate all CHAIN MIGRATION except for spouses & minor children of US citizens
5. Outlaw Sanctuary Cities and States, because they are Magnets for criminals

SAY IT AIN’T SO, JOE: Mass-LEGAL Immigration Costs U.S. Taxpayers $330 Billion per Year NET

Most American citizens would be surprised to learn that each of us—including our children—pays (or is otherwise denied) an Average of $1000 per year to finance legal immigration?!—(for a family of 5, this is $5,000.00 every year!!)

Although IL-legal immigration (which we are more likely to see in the news) also has NET costs to the taxpayer (about $100 billion annually) LEGAL immigration cost many times more—$330 BILLION (NET)—and yet, no one in Washington or the news media seems to think it worth talking about. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY!!!

The flow of 1.5 Million immigrants legally admitted into the US year after year (400,000 of which settle in California annually!) generates NET costs to the U.S. Taxpayer of $330,000,000,000 annually—62% of which is health care, health insurance and other various welfare programs, etc., etc., etc.—(and that is, after subtracting Taxes Immigrants pay: CCN’s Net Costs of Legal Immigration Study.)

Although some legal immigrants do support themselves, most LEGAL immigrants receive huge subsidies from the U.S. Taxpayer. This $330 Billion per Year divided by the number of congressional districts (435) amounts to $758 Million per year that could have been spent in each Congressional District! OR another option could have been … that the taxpayers could have received a huge tax cut, kept their own money and, and, and … spent it on themselves!!! what a concept!—($330 billion / 330 million citizens & residents = $1,000 per each U.S. citizen). Please note that this cost does not include additional NET costs to State and local taxpayers—you will have to talk to your governor and mayor about that (good luck to you if you are in a blue state or city!).

Though seldom in the news, there are other really pressing negative consequences of this massive influx of LE-gal immigration:
 

• 5.9 Million U.S. citizens have been displaced from their jobs since 2005.
• the assault on OUR environment — loss of habitat, species extinction, loss of prime agricultural farmland, loss of clean water and other natural resources and of course, overpopulation. (BALANCE.ORG) ... and for what?—what is the net gain to the American people? … ALIEN NATION, 1995, Peter Brimelow.

Do you recall any townhall meeting where your Representative—the “honorable”…Mr. or Mrs.—has discussed with you and the other U.S. citizens in your congressional district the (supposed) benefits of this massive sacrifice??? Well, neither do We!

There are no such benefits for Most Americans. But for many Members of Congress, there is LOBBY MONEY … lots of lobby money from Globalists’ interests who want Taxpayer-SUBSIDIZED Cheap Labor. Yes, the lobby money trumps your wishes every day, except for one very special day. That’s right, on Election Day. On Election Day, only you, (supposedly) the U.S. CITIZEN VOTER can vote!

THE SOLUTION: Now is the time to stop this expensive nonsense that will be voted on by this coming September (and possibly as early as before July 4th weekend)—and don’t forget, elections will be in November. Push candidates and Congressmen hard to get them to commit to passing an all-categories-included Zero-Net MORATORIUM on Legal Immigration first proposed by the Diversity Coalition in 1996. The Diversity Coalition is a coalition of Americans of all ethnic backgrounds of which CCN is a cosponsor.

Congress and the President can give families and American jobseekers a far bigger tax break and employment opportunities and reduce the Deficit by passing JUST ONE SIMPLE BILL—the all-categories-included Zero-Net Moratorium.

Had Washington implemented a reduction from 1.5 Million legal immigrants per year to 150,000 per year since 2005(—the same number of citizens who emigrate each year—what could have been more fair than this???)—then the NET Costs today would have been cut by more than half, leaving the rest available that COULD HAVE BEEN spent in each of OUR congressional districts each year. But believe it or not, many legislators are reluctant to make it easy for you to contact them by E-mail—but you CAN request to speak to a legislative assistant who will HAVE TO take you seriously. IT’S THAT EASY!!—and don’t forget to ask for a RESPONSE from your congressman (or senator)! Or to have Maximum Impact, visit your local District office and ask, “Why, sir/madam, have you repeatedly, year after year, chosen to spend $758 Million of U.S. tax dollars on the relocation of immigrants into OUR country instead of spending it in OUR OWN DISTRICT???

And finally, tell him/her that you want the all-categories-included Zero-Net Moratorium recommended by the Diversity Coalition in 1996 and ask for a commitment to support it. And tell them you want full funding for The Wall and enactment of e-Verify to deter Illegals from taking Americans’ jobs.

P.S … To make sure that he/she does not “forget” you can easily resend this same message every two or three weeks just by pushing a few buttons and visit the District Office again! How much fun is that?? We have been exploited long enough!
